A Centralized Platform for Automated Retail Operations, Orders and Inventory

Context
What they needed
Paper-based workflows, no unified stock visibility, and orders fragmented across channels.
What we built
Ekohe built an internal platform that centralizes stock across all storage locations, connects sales channels and distributors through APIs, and automates order creation, discounts and tax calculation. No more paper workflows, and more employees reallocated to growth work.

Details
People Tree's operations relied on manual, paper-based processes. There was no unified view of stock across locations, orders arrived from several channels in different forms, and inventory had to be adjusted by hand every day. Order and customer data were inconsistent from one channel to the next, and every handoff was a chance to lose information.
Automation alone would not have fixed this: automating fragmented data only moves the errors faster. The first step was a single source of truth for stock and orders, so that every channel works from the same numbers.
Ekohe built an internal platform that centralizes stock levels across all storage locations. It integrates the sales channels and partner distributors through APIs, including EDI exchanges for logistics. Orders are created automatically, with their IDs, discounts and tax calculations, and automated workflows now cover the whole retail pipeline, from supplier to delivery.
Paper workflows and daily manual inventory checks are gone. Stock and orders stay in sync across online and offline channels, errors have dropped thanks to a single automated data source, and operations run faster. Employees who used to track stock by hand now work on growth, and People Tree can grow without adding operational workload.
Real-time stock insights support restocking and allocation decisions. The platform shows what is in stock and where, and the team decides what to reorder and where to send it. The system and its data belong to People Tree, built to be operated and extended as new channels are added.
